An Ilorin High Court sitting has declared as illegal the purported dissolution of the Ishola Balogun-Fulani led faction of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State.
The Court has therefore restrained Adams Oshiomole, the APC National Working Committee and all other organs of the party from dissolving the party structure in Kwara and appointing in its stead a caretaker Committee.
In a short ruling, the presiding judge, Justice Umar S. C said that he would give the APC the chance to be represented to defend itself before him before determining the Motion on Notice.
It will be recalled that the Oshiomole-led NWC of the APC on Monday announced the dissolution of the party’s structures in Kwara from the ward, local government and state level citing irregularities in the conduct of the primaries that produced the present executives.
