The news that Senate President Bukola Saraki has defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has sent tongues wagging.
Saraki, who served his two terms as governor under PDP, said he was forced out of the ruling party.
While some praised him for his action, others claim he betrayed the party. Here are some reactions.
Oshiomole retired the Edo Mafia of Anenih and the Igbenidion family from politics. A massive feat. Now he'll lead APC to retire Obasanjo, the Saraki Kwara dynasty, Atiku, Lamido and a host of others in the federal level.
I make a prediction that both Bukola Saraki and his Governor will join our great party, @OfficialPDPNig, either today or before this week is over. I also make another prediction that many other APC members will soon be leaving the sinking APC ship. Mark my words!
Saraki a senior member of APC gets prosecuted, you say witchhunt, you even jubilate when he was acquitted just because you hate Buhari. Your hatred will consume you.
As Gonzalo Higuain is planning to "port" from Juventus to AC Milan, our own Senate President, Bukola Saraki don "port" and move his team from APC for PDP!
Today, I am excited to welcome home to the @OfficialPDPNig, the very sagacious and excellent leader and president of the @NGRSenate, Distinguished Sen. @bukolasaraki. The @APCNigeria failed at putting you down, and inadvertently succeeded in making you stronger. Welcome home :)

Not sure this timing is wise.Depending on how desperate APC feels, all they have to do is approach Court to activate the judgement of the Supreme Court & declare Saraki's Senate vacant (along with several NASS guys)And February is too far to delay the matter till.
