Following the blockade of the National Assembly on Tuesday by the DSS, the media handlers in the Presidency and the Senate Twitter handle have been trading words via their Twitter handles.
The war started when some Twitter users took exception to the way, the Twitter handle of the Senate reported the blockade of the NASS earlier on Tuesday.

I would never ever allow any of the FG handles (@AsoRock @NGRPresident ) to be used in this manner. No matter the grievances between the arms of government.
I expect @OnemolaOlu to know better. I don’t think @MrBanksOmishore would have endorsed this were he still in that office https://twitter.com/ngrsenate/status/1026755802894295044 …
An attack on the legislature affects legislative business. Hence this handle is allowed to report such to Nigerians and the world. The SSS reports directly to @NGRPresident and you guys have been quiet because the coup was orchestrated by the PRESIDENCY @MBuhari @ProfOsinbajo
Young man, you DID NOT complain when the @officialEFCC used it’s verified @Twitter handle to mock @GovAyoFayose after the Ekiti election and threaten him with arrest, but you complain when the @NGRSenate’s handle is used to defend democracy! https://twitter.com/toluogunlesi/status/1026780724798648320?s=21 …
Yet, on March 31, 2018, you used your own verified @Twitter handle to call Nigerians, who voted for President @MBuhari, “animals”. What moral authority do you then have for attacking the @NGRSenate for using its handle to defend democracy? https://twitter.com/toluogunlesi/status/1026781498358284288?s=21 …
Coming from the Nigerian Senate official handle?
