Prof. Sebastine Uremadu, an economic expert and socio-political analyst, has hailed the recent shake-up in the Nigerian Army formations around the country.
He described the development as a major step in the war against terrorism and general insecurity.
He also said the service chiefs were tired and exhausted their strategies hence should be replaced with fresh officers.
He spoke in Umuahia on Saturday while reacting to the recent redeployment across military commands and formations.
Uremadu pointed out that the redeployment exercise was in tandem with his recent media works where he called for a total overhaul of the military commands and change in strategies.
The don also thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for ensuring equitable distribution of the recent appointments across different ethnic groups of the country.
He said, “The new appointment will rejig the command force and inject new blood into the war against insurgency and terrorism because the military service chiefs are tired, exhausted and should be retired and replaced with fresh officers.”
He also expressed optimism that the new general officers commanding would end killings across the country, adding that President Buhari had acted as the Commander-in-Chief.
