Egypt's Mo Salah saw his prospect of featuring in the World Cup suffer a huge blow after he dislocated his shoulder during the final of the Champions League.
Salah was forced off the field on Saturday after he was wrestled down by Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos.
Gary Lineker, ex-England international and football pundit, said on BT Sport that Liverpool had diagnosed Salah’s injury as a shoulder dislocation.
It remains to be seen if the injury will rule the Egyptian out of the World Cup which starts on June 14.
According to the NHS website, a dislocated shoulder takes 12 to 16 weeks to fully heal.
Depending on the extent of the damage, he may well be out of the upcoming mundial and could even miss the start of next season for Liverpool
