Falz to FG: This level of insensitivity shown by our government is rather disturbing

Popular Nigerian entertainer, Folarin 'Falz' Falana, has criticised the federal government over the recent killings by suspected herdsmen in Plateau state.
Over 100 persons were reportedly killed while buildings were torched in Riyom, Barakin Ladi and Jos south local government areas of the state.
Reacting to the incident, the outspoken rapper/actor said the spate of killings carried out by suspected herdsmen in the country is “getting out of hand”.
According to Falz, the “insensitivity” of the federal government on the matter is “disturbing”.
“This level of insensitivity shown by our government is rather disturbing. People are continuously being massacred every day!!! It’s actually getting out of hand,” the singer wrote on both Twitter and Instagram.

“Prayers go out to the families of the lost ones in the Plateau state massacre,” Falz — who recently ignited controversy over his ‘This is Nigeria’ video — wrote in another post.

Expressing shock over the incident, the Plateau chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had described the killings as a genocide.
“We received with rude shock the level of genocide going on now in Gashish District, Razat, Ruku Nyarr and Gana-Ropp, all in Barkin Ladi local government,” John Akans, the party’s publicity secretary, had said in a statement.
“We also note with great pains the dastardly attacks ongoing in many other local government areas in the state by the Fulani militias.
“This unholy act of systematic genocide and the destruction of the cultural heritage of Plateau people must stop. We call on the international community to come to the aid of Plateau people as besides the over 130 people killed many are missing.”
