Former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Adamu Ciroma, has died at the age of 84.
A family source disclosed this to TheCable on Thursday afternoon, saying the elder statesman died at a hospital in Abuja.
Ciroma served as Minister of Finance under ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo's administration.
He was also Minister of Agriculture and managing director of New Nigerian Newspapers.
He was a founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
