
The Imo State Government has donated 100 Sienna vehicles to the Nigeria police to enhance the operations of the state police command.
While handing over the vehicles to Dasuki Galadanchi, the state Commissioner of Police, Rochas Okorocha, the state governor, explained that the state government provided the vehicles to beef up the security of lives and property of the citizenry.
“The state government is more concerned about effective community policing and as you are aware, Christmas in this part of the country attracts a lot of activities and hoodlums take advantage of the festive period to commit crimes,” he said.
He further explained that the vehicles were also to ensure that every one has safe and peaceful Christmas celebrations and overall security, pointing out that the vehicles are equipped with radio and all that is required to check crimes.
