UYO – Archbishop Maurice Talley, an American clergy, has advised Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State to remain focused as God has already delivered victory in his favour ahead of the 2019 elections.
Talley said that as the 2019 general elections gather momentum, Governor Emmanuel, though would be confronted by detractors, must remain resolute in delivering quality governance to the state.
The cleric, who is a strong voice in the global Pentecostal Community, stated this in a solidarity message sent to the state Deputy Governor, Mr. Moses F. Ekpo, and made available to our correspondent in Uyo on Thursday.
Dr. Talley who is the Presiding Prelate of the Triumphant Christian Fellowship International described the re-nomination of the governor and the deputy governor in the Divine mandate ticket as a “Divine appointment to be accomplished on the earth at such a time as this.”
“I pray over you and His Excellency, Governor Emmanuel, that you have good success, a victorious campaign, and for our God to increase your territory in the mighty name of Jesus Christ,” he said.
Assuring that he had beseeched heaven over the lives of the state’s helmsmen, Archbishop Talley stated that he has entered a declaration for “the release of power from on high to anoint and appoint you over this work. And I decree the presence of God as never before to rule through each of you…. And it shall be so,” the cleric declared.
He therefore urged the gubernatorial team to be “steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord” in the knowledge that their service to God and humanity can never be in vain.
