Former NFF scribe, Taiwo Ogunjobi dies at 66

Former NFF Secretary-General and OSUN FA boss, Chief Taiwo Joseph Ogunjobi, is dead
According to his personal Assistant, Tunde Shamsudeen, his death shocked all football followers, stakeholders and fans who described Taiwo as a good leader.
“Oga was slightly ill on Saturday and was taken to UTH. But we got the shock of our lives when he died this morning,” he said.

According to a source close him, he was last seen in the public last Wednesday when he came to Oshogbo Township stadium to watch week 7 NPFL match between Remo Stars and MFM FC.
His absence at the 2019 Osun state Sports Award on Sunday (yesterday) raised the question from people of Osun.
A former footballer, Ogunjobi made his name with WNDC (now Shooting Stars Sports Club) and led the Nigeria Academicals between 1973-74.
He played for Nigeria at the Nigeria/Ghana Sports festival before he was called up to the Green Eagles in 1973.
Before his death, he was Osun State Football Association Chairman.
The late Soccer Sage also served for immediate past Osun Governor Rauf Aregbesola as Special Assistant.
