Afro-fusion singer, Burna Boy, and Afropop vocalist, Teniola Apata, have both been unveiled as ambassadors for Pepsi, US carbonated soft drink brand.
The company took to its Nigerian social media accounts to announce the endorsement deal shortly after the duo’s stage performance at the opening ceremony of the Big Brother Naija reality show.
The singer, who was seen dressed in a Pepsi-branded t-shirt alongside Teni during their energetic performances, also confirmed the endorsement deal.
For Burna Boy, the deal comes after his emergence as ‘Best International Artiste’ at the recently held 2019 BET Awards — which honored renowned figures in categories spanning music, sports, and other entertainment spheres.
Other Nigerian artistes who have also been named ambassadors by the US carbonated soft drink brand include Tiwa Savage, DJ Cuppy, Tekno, Davido and Wizkid.
