The Director-General, Ekiti State Bureau of Employment, Mr Olarenwaju Ogunjobi, has said the state has created a database for unemployed youths to reduce unemployment.
Ogunjobi said the database was part of efforts to get reliable data for planning for youth employment and empowerment.
He said in a statement in on Monday, “The Ekiti State Government has established a database for unemployed youths to register with details of their paper qualifications and other areas of specialization as part of efforts to reduce the rate of unemployment in the state.”
Ogunjobi advised interested youths seeking employment to register with the bureau, adding that the process was continuous.
He said, “The Kayode Fayemi administration is taking a structured approach to solving the unemployment situation in the state. Governor Fayemi has directed all personnel regulatory agencies to henceforth use the new database for filling vacancies in government establishments.”
He described the creation of the database as the first phase of the employment scheme.
