Real Madrid on Tuesday, confirmed that Luca, son to their manager Zinedine Zidane, has left to join second-division Racing Santander on a one-year loan deal.
The 21-year-old is a product of the club's youth system, along with his brother Enzo.
Shortly after returning to the Santiago Bernabeu, Zidane Sr gave Luca a start in a league home fixure against Huesca.
Real won the match 3-2.
Luca Zidane won the European Under-17 championships in 2015 with France.
Enzo, 24, is a free agent having been released by Swiss second-tier outfit Lausanne-Sport earlier this month.
