Maiduguri Task Force Nab Three Kidnap Suspects With Charms in Keke Napep


Few days after the Meeting with the Borno State Government, Nigeria Police and  the Leadership of Keke Napep in Maiduguri, Chaired by the Deputy Governor, Usman Mamman Durkwa , the leadership of Keke Napep immediately formed a Task Force group to identify Non Registered and  those using Conductor to commit crimes.

The Association Tasks Force in collaboration with the Nigeria Police apprehended three suspects in possession a knife, local Charms and dangerous weapons.
On Friday, the committee apprended the three Keke Napep riders on one tricycle without registration and identity card, with two persons serving as conductors to commit crime.
They were caught by the Task Force with a knife and other weapons including local charms and were handed over to the police for further investigation.
The DC Operation of the Borno State Police Command directed the SARS Dept to handle the case in conjunction with the leadership of the Keke Napep.

The State Chairman of the Keke Napep Alh Terab and other Leaders assured the citizens of the state that they will bring an end to the criminal activities within the tricycles groups.
A 24-year old final year student of the department of nursing, University of Maiduguri, was abducted and bathed with chemical substance earlier this month.
Fatima Habu Usman was kidnapped on Friday March 16, in front of the First Bank Plc, Maiduguri shortly after she emerged from the bank where she had gone to deposit some cash.
She boarded a commercial tricycle popularly called Keke NAPEP to Baga Road, but unknown to her, one of the men in the tricycle brought out a white handkerchief and pretended as though he was having cough, but as soon as he touched her face with it, she passed out, only to find herself dumped at the Railway Bayan Quarters area, bathed with a substance suspected to be acid. That was around 1pm. She was also disposesed of her android phone and other important valuables.
Also on Thursday, March 22, one Mallam Umar, an attendant in Lawthel pharmacy near University Of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital was attacked in Keke Napep by the cyclist and one another after he came out from FCMB  bank along Baga Road, Maiduguri.
The assailants poured something of liquid nature suspected to be acid on his both eyes and threw him away.
