Makinwa’s position on chivalry came days after Dana Loesch, a US political commentator, urged Adichie to focus on “weightier matters”like female genital mutilation in Nigeria.
“I don’t think she understands quite the concept of chivalry, which was a code of conduct for a gentleman,” Loesch had said about Adichie.
