Bournemouth’s Nathan Ake scored an injury-time goal against a Tottenham team that had two men sent off to put a dent in the top-four hopes of Mauricio Pochettino’s side, Eurosport has reported.
Ake nodded home after Spurs had managed to keep the match goalless at the Vitality Stadium despite having Heung-min Son and Juan Foyth sent off either side of half-time.
It means Tottenham – who face Ajax in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final on Wednesday – are just four points ahead of fifth-placed Arsenal, who have a game in hand, before their last match against Everton next weekend.
